Maria discovered Pilates while studying dance, to help her develop a strong core, increased flexibility and balanced muscle groups. She teaches dynamic, yet highly structured classes to encourage students to develop awareness of correct alignment and strong biomechanics.
Maria’s background: 10+ years of dance and mobility training, Functional Movement, NASM Personal Trainer & Corrective Exercise Specialist, TRX and Barre instructor, ACE Senior Fitness Specialist, Injury & Special Populations, certified yoga instructor instructor.
Maria loves to travel and has taught yoga, dance and Pilates in Spain, Brazil, Argentina and Cuba. She is completing her certification as a STOTT PILATES® instructor at John Garey Pilates studio in Long Beach, CA.
