Meet The Team

Brittany

After practicing Pilates for 4 years, Brittany Rojo decided to go through training at Body Arts Science International to become a certified instructor. She went through training in the summer of 2017 and passed all of her exams in January of 2018. Brittany is certified in Mat, Reformer, Wunda Chair, and Cadillac Pilates through Basi. She teaches group class as well as private training. When not teaching, Brittany enjoys outdoor activities as well as boxing and yoga.

Chandra

Chandra was introduced to Pilates in 2001, while recovering from surgery. After realizing the numerous benefits and positive impact Pilates made in her own body and movement, she began a college accredited program to become a certified Pilates instructor. Chandra received her Pilates and Dance Conditioning Instructor Certification in 2012. In addition, she went on to complete a 200 hour Yoga Instructor Certification in 2015. Chandra also holds a degree in Dance. She is passionate about fitness, movement, health and nutrition. Chandra hopes to share her knowledge and help others achieve their individual fitness goals.

Chiara

Chiara discovered her love for Pilates through her dance training at Irvine Valley College and Cal State Long Beach. In 2018 she graduated from CSULB with a B.A. in Dance that included courses in anatomy, Pilates, movement methodology, and kinesiology. She continued her study of Pilates with Karen Clippinger in the summer of 2018, where she completed a comprehensive Pilates teacher training course with Body Arts and Science International (BASI). This course included a specialization in dance. In July 2019 she went on to complete an advanced certificate course from BASI – Pilates for Injuries and Pathologies. She offers classes and private sessions that are a balance of form-oriented strength training with dynamic stretching, all based on the principles of Pilates. Her appreciation for movement and its potential to heal is what motivates her to continue her education as an instructor. Outside of the studio Chiara enjoys hiking and climbing, cooking, and spending time with her boyfriend and dog

Dan

Dan enjoys Pilates as a second career, following his retirement as an engineering professional. Dan is a graduate of the BASI Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Certification Program, is PMA (Pilates Method Alliance) certified and is also certified through Carolyne Anthony with The Center for Women’s Fitness to teach Pilates to prenatal and postnatal clients. Dan is experienced in teaching clients of all ages from their early 20’s to clients in their golden years. He employs his sense of humor and communication skills while instructing and edifying clients in the Pilates Method.

Elke

Growing up in Germany, Elke started her fitness career at age 17 after she had been diagnosed with slight scoliosis. Soon she decided to become a fitness and aerobics instructor and proceed to teach various formats like Step Aerobics, Kick-boxing, and Body Pump. She also competed in the Germany Nationals for Bodybuilding. After having moved to the United States in 2000 she found her love for Pilates and became a certified Stott Pilates instructor! Elke owned and operated her own private studio for 10 years in Costa Mesa and another two studios in Tustin and Orange 4 years. She teaches Pilates for groups, as well as private sessions for those recovering from injury or with physical limitations clients. She loves to help clients increase mobility, get stronger and improve flexibility! She also is a Personal Trainer and likes to integrate Cardio and Weight Training classes into her programs with certain clients.

Haley

Haley is certified through BASI Pilates and has been teaching Pilates for 5 years. She completed the BASI Pilates 500-Hour Comprehensive Program with a Dance Specialization. Along with her Pilates education, she also holds her BFA in Dance and Entrepreneurship Minor from Cal State University, Long Beach.  Haley teaches both group classes and private sessions and brings great energy and positivity to her classes and loves seeing her clients exceed their own wellness goals.  

Jodi

Jodi is the former owner of The Pilates Body of OC and holds many certifications for teaching Pilates and fitness classes. She began her career as a professional dancer with the LA Clippers and the LA Lakers, and while training in Pilates, found her passion for fitness. In 2003 Jodi received her certification in the Ron Fletcher Method and obtained an additional Pilates certification in BASI’s full comprehensive program. In addition to Pilates, Jodi is qualified to teach Zumba, Burn at the Barre, Booty Barre, Hip Hop Hustle, LaBlast, and Jillian Michael’s Body Shred. To give depth to her training, she has a certification in First Aid/CPR/AED and with AFAA for Group Fitness. Jodi believes in continuing education and recently completed a certification for Personal Training with NESTA.

Megan

Megan has been teaching Bikram yoga for almost 10 years now and Pilates for 3 years. She is a workout enthusiast and is dedicated to helping others through movement and mindfulness. Determined to overcome her asthma in her youth, Megan began running to push past her limitations. She appreciates the power, impact, and importance of exercise, but honors each person’s journey. Megan is Bikram, TRX, and BASI certified.

Sam

Sam’s journey with Pilates started in 2012 after she was put in Pilates for rehabilitation after surgery. She maintained her Pilates Certification at Orange Coast College and is currently working on her Pilates Method Alliance Certification as well. Sam focuses on a classical approach to Pilates with integrated modern full body workouts. She is very active and enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and anything outdoors. Sam comes to Pilates from an athletic background in soccer, having competing at a high level for more than 10 years. She believes that anyone, no matter the injury, age, or goal a client may have, through Pilates everyone can improve their core strength, flexibility and overall wellness leading to a healthier and happier life.

Sheela

Sheela’s Pilates journey began over 10 years ago when she discovered Pilates as an alternative form of rehabilitation and strengthening for her back injuries. She is a BASI Certified Pilates Instructor who focuses on form while offering a full body challenging workout. Sheela also has a background in Classical Indian Dance and Yoga. She enjoys hiking, bike riding and loves the outdoors. Sheela’s passion for Pilates helped her tremendously through the years and she continues to learn more each day through her practice and teaching.

Stephanie

Stephanie is a Nationally Certified Pilates instructor with Pilates Method Alliance and BASI Pilates. Stephanie found Pilates at the age of 18, after completing her 10 year competitive gymnastics career. Pilates was able to help build strength after many injuries as well as incorporate balance and flexibility back into her movement practice. In addition to practicing Pilates, Stephanie has also spent an over 10 year career in marketing and advertising working with companies including John Force Racing, BASI Pilates and Club Pilates. Sharing her passion of Pilates furthers into teaching as she is an Assistant Faculty Member at Fullerton College teaching the Pilates Certification program. In addition to Pilates, Stephanie loves to spend time with her nieces & nephews, traveling, and hiking.
